Nature, lakes, fauna, flora and forests boast serenity, beauty and some of the best aspects that our planet has to offer. Europe is packed with beautiful national parks where tourists and locals alike flock to every year to experience the serenity and solitude themselves. What better way to relax during a vacation than to visit some of Europe’s finest national parks?
The Saxon Switzerland National Park
This gorgeous national park is located in Germany near the capital of Dresden, and covers approximately 93.5 kilometers through two areas. Located in the heart of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains, this serene national park is adjacent to the Bohemian Switzerland National Park, located in the Czech Republic, but you would not know it. This wonderful place connects itself with the Bohemian to create a unity of national parks. You will find a beautiful bridge in the Saxon that overlooks the mountains, and is an absolutely breathtaking spot to just enjoy the view of which the land has to offer. The trees, terrain and the mountains bring out the best of Germany.

The Dolomites mountains are a range which is located in Italy’s northeastern side, and are a part of the Southern Limestone Alps that extend all the way from the River Adige to the Pieve di Cadore’s west in the eastern area. The southern and northern borders can be defined greatly by the Sugana Valley and the Puster Valley. If you are looking for a national park that is remote, serene and full of green, then the Belluno Dolomites National Park is definitely for you. With hillsides full of lush, green grass and plenty of walking distance, it’s very easy to lose yourself in nature in this Italian wonderland.
Emparis Mountains by F. MochiThe Ecrins National Park
This lovely national park is located in France and is the fifth national park, interestingly enough. Located in France’s Alps, this park covers quite a large area of the Massif des Ecrins, and has been crowned by the Council of Europe as the “European Park of the Mountain”, which is an incredible honor. The mountains and the water here will make you believe that fairy tales truly are real, because this national park looks exactly like something you would see in a make believe picture book that you once read as a child.
National Parks in Europe are some of the best parks will ever find across the globe. However, their beauty simply cannot be defined only through pictures, because you must see these wonders for yourself.
Feel free to suggest which for you are the best National Parks in Europe.
