If you are planning visit to Rome and you have an interest in architecture then you should visit the Trevi Fountain. The Trevi fountain sits in the Trevi district and is one of the most beautiful fountains in the world, the Trevi Fountain.
The fountain took almost 30 years to build with the completion date being 1732 and comprises a statue of Neptune, the god of the sea with two tritons on each side, one attempting to tame a sear horse, whilst the other pets one.
For those operating on a budget the Hotel Marechiaro is worth a look. Rooms start at a very reasonable ?21 per night and the hotel is located near to termini station so it’s ideal for getting around Rome and seeing the sites. The accommodation is very basic though so probably more suitable to younger people and couples.
There are lots of different tours available in Rome but one that stands out is the Rome Walking Tour and Cooking Class. There is no better way to admire Rome whilst at the same time doing you bit for the environment than on foot. The tour includes three of the most famous landmarks in the city, Navona Square, the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain and is topped off with a cooking class. Hopefully by the end of the day you will have a better knowledge of the local cuisine as well as the architecture.
It is said that if you throw a coin in to the water at the Trevi Fountain that your return is guaranteed so why not enjoy the beautiful fountain as well as everything else Rome has to offer, throw a coin in and look forward to your return.
