Christmas Day Tip 1 – PASS YOUR PARCEL!
As you read this, there might be a huge pile of presents sitting in the room with you (lucky soul!) Like many people, we often end today with duplicated gifts or items that we don’t really want. There are much less wasteful solutions than dumping your “unwanteds” in dark cupboards or condemning them to dreaded landfill. RECYCLE YOUR GIFTS. One of your crazier friends might love that present (e.g. bright electric pink picture frame) you’ll never use! Make it exciting and do present swapping online.
Christmas Day Tip 2 – Sharing Nature
Get together with your friends and loved ones and share a “present excursion” in the beauty of the nature around you. There’s no better antidote to the stress factor than a hearty walk and a chat with those closest to you. Take an adventure through the winter wonderland around you – go sledding and snowballing up in the mountains or retreat to the refreshing calm of the forest. If you are enjoying life closer to the equator right now, head for a lake picnic or a sun kissed surf trip. Share the things you appreciate the most with the most important people in your life. Get out there. Breathe in the air. Relax. Together.
