The Romantic Hotel GMACHL is a romantic getaway hotel which provides eco-friendly electric bikes and scooters for all of its guests during their stay. Public transport not the best for Austria, the roads are bike friendly, so wherever you stay it’s probably a good idea to hire a bike of some nature. To add to this many of the streets are one way and it is said that it is a lot easier to get about on a bike.
If there are a few of you and you want to try something completely different then why not rent an octopus bike. These bikes carry up to seven people and are available for as little as EUR20 per day per person. As well as being eco-friendly you’re likely to have a lot of fun in the process.
If you are planning on taking a tour of the city there are tours on foot, bike and Segway. However, the Salzach Cruise is the one for me. This will give you an opportunity to enjoy the city from the river and to truly appreciate its beauty. However, the tour only operates from April to October and is weather dependant so you may want to check first.
