Promising to be a major attraction for connoisseurs of fine food and drink, the Cheese and Wine Festival London event takes over the Southbank Centre Square once again in the autumn of 2010.
Cheese and wine festival London
With tutored tastings, talks, demonstrations and more, the Cheese and Wine Festival London event is the perfect opportunity to learn more about cheese and wine matching, and how to include both into a variety of sweet and savoury food. Returning to Southbank Centre Square after its successful inaugural event last year, the festival joins other events such as the recurring Real Food Markets and Chocolate Festivals, which is turning the famous venue into a foodie’s paradise.
Gourmet treats
Visitors to the Cheese and Wine Festival London event will be able to browse through market stalls featuring cheeses from around the world, including the UK, France, Italy, Sicily, Switzerland and Spain, and wine stalls will also be selling bottles from a variety of different countries and regions. Tutored tastings and talks on the wine and cheese making processes will take place throughout the three day event.
Total Cheese Experience
The Cheese and Wine Festival at the Southbank Centre also includes the Total Cheese Experience, a cheese making demonstration hosted by TV and radio personality Bob Kitchin. BBC MasterChef winner Steven Wallis will also be on hand to provide more demonstrations and tutored tastings, and producers from Bordeaux will also be showcasing cheese, wine and cognac.
The Cheese and Wine Festival London event takes place at the Southbank Centre Square from Friday 15th October – Sunday 17th October 2010. Opening times are 11am – 8pm. Admission is free.
