Sevan National Park - Armenia

For eco-tourist who enjoy photography or wildlife a visit to the Sevan National Park should definitely be on the list of things to do. One of the world's newer national parks, this haven for wildlife in the heart of Armenia offers beautiful views, wonderful hiking opportunities and one of the most beautiful lakes in the world.

Known to the locals as the Blue Pearl, Lake Sevan is one of the greatest aspects of the national park, much in thanks to the abundance of wildlife that have the lake to thank for their home. The fishing reserves are in decline, however, this is an ideal location for birds during their migratory flights over the year so if you visit at the right time, you could witness a wondrous variety of birdlife who are enjoying a brief visit to the park before once again making their way.
