Jigme Dorji National Park

Located in the Gasa district of Bhutan sits the Jigme Dorji National Park. The second largest national park in the country it stretches well over 4000 square kilometres and has a huge variety of different species of fauna, flora and birdlife.

The Dead Sea, also known as the Sea of Salt, is a massive salt lake spread between Israel and the West Bank to the west and Jordan on the east. At 1,385 feet below sea level, it is said that the shores of the salt lake are the lowest on earth. The Dead Sea is 1,240 feet deep, which makes it the deepest hyper saline lake in the world.

Flaming Crater, Derweze - Turkmenistan

Derweze is an isolated village in Turkmenistan with a very sparse population of just 350 inhabitants located in the middle of the Karakum Desert. The Derweze Area is rich in natural gas. Whilst drilling in 1971, geologists tapped into a cavern filled with this gas, and the ground beneath the drilling rig collapsed, leaving a huge gaping wound in the Earth's very crust about 70m (230ft) in diameter.

Niagara Falls

The combined waterfalls that make up the world famous Niagara Falls together form the highest flow rate of water of any falls in the world. Situated right on the Canadian/American border, the falls are made up of The Horseshoe Falls (the largest) on the Canadian side, and the American and aptly named Bridal Veil Falls (the smallest) on the American side.

Tree house", here I wake up, on my first tree house, Katia has already left her sleeping bed and mosquito net and takes photos leaning out on the parapet. Under her 20 meters of trunk rounded by lianas and climbing plants. All around other most high trees, some cleared, some with other little houses as ours.
