Janasatabthi Express to Trivandrum

There are moments in life when you realize that you're doing something amazing; something that many would dream to do, or at least that you've been dreaming to do for ages. I experienced that when I first glanced at the wide landscapes of Arizona for example, when I met Mohamed Ali, or everytime I'm taking an after-lunch nap on top of a mountain in the Alps.

Portland and Oregon Coast

By Laeti, 10/23/2011 - 05:07

I have some friends who do a sale tour of posters in the US (east coast), so I decided to ask to a friend if I could spend some time with her doing this crazy and funny job ! She agreed and proposed I work with her for two weeks.
Then I arrived at the conclusion that I could stay away from home for two months : working for two weeks and then travelling around US for the rest of the time.

My trip started in NY, then it was off to Chicago, Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Detroit, Pittsburgh and NY again.

A Garden Lady in India's Cold Mountain Desert.

By Shivya, 10/23/2011 - 03:53

I sit by a Stupa on an elevation above the shore of the Spiti River, shielding myself from the sun. It'll be a good fifteen minutes before the ball of fire sinks behind the mountain range and relieves human skins. Such penetrating sunrays would make a great premise for a sunscreen advert, I muse.

Old Town of Bobo Dioulasso

By Pippo, 10/22/2011 - 21:29

The second city of Burkina Faso is Bobo Dioulasso, a crowded and animated city in the sub tropical south of the country nearby the ivorian border. During the winter time, not many tourists are visiting the town and the local guides are happy to show you around to gain some money. It was Bara who found me on the city market and proposed me to guide me through the ancient town of Bobo Dioulasso where the people of the Bobo is living. The houses are old and built by the hand.

Organic Farming in the Argentinean Desert

As we arrived into the Argentinean desert with with the mountainous backdrop of La Cordillera de los Andes on one side and Pie de Palo on the other, we were ready for our ec-adventure - two weeks working on an organic farm in San Juan. San Juan is a 2.5-hour bus ride north of Mendoza in the region of the same name.

being one with nature

In water we are born...

I think that means something....

Maybe...

I want to share with you my eco-experience... one of the best ways I know to travel in total harmony with nature

by SAILING

This year we, a small group, went to sail in Croatia. Indeed it's not the same as 10 years ago, somehow it feels like turning back in a time when men were ruled by nature.

A Fishwives Tale

By Laeti, 10/19/2011 - 05:37

The setting sun cloaked the evening sky in shades of pinky pastel, and lit up the island that dominates the coastline around here. A woman wandering by grabs a knife and in swift strokes, beheads for us the three struggling Kahawai on the beach.

"No taste like it," she sighs in satisfaction. "From the sea to the plate in one hour!" Refusing to take even a single salmon for her trouble however, she then strolls off into the sunset with her Bichon Frise toy dog dancing beside her.

Leaving a Green Footprint

By Laeti, 10/18/2011 - 20:52

It was at a lunch recently on Cranks Ridge that I met a woman who talked to me about a planting project taking place on the ridge.

Her husband had organised an NGO and set about obtaining trees with which to reforest the valley around.
